Tea Garden: Puer is an expansion for the game Tea Garden, themed around the cultivation and trading of Puer tea. It introduces a new layer of strategic depth to the base game, moving beyond simple tea cultivation to incorporate the complexities of courtly politics and specialized tea markets. The expansion introduces elements of resource management, majority control, and long-term planning, significantly increasing the strategic challenge and replayability of the original game. Gameplay in Tea Garden: Puer involves managing resources to perform actions such as cultivating tea, visiting the Court of Nobles to gain advantages and end-game points, and manipulating the Puer market to build chains of tea pieces for bonus rewards. New Courtier meeples are utilized for Court interaction, while the introduction of the Puer market provides new opportunities for strategic scoring. The expansion significantly increases game complexity and playtime compared to the base game and also includes rules for solo play.
